Jakhaus - Real Estate Media Website
For Jakhaus, a Vancouver real estate media team, I designed and developed a feature website to showcase their content and bring in new clients.
The Challenge
Jakhaus came as a business that was growing quickly and needed a website to match: something that felt established, credible, and built to convert visitors into clients. The goal wasn't just to get them online, it was to give them a digital presence that reflected where the business was headed.
Collaboration
Design
I worked closely with their designer who understood the Jakhaus brand on a deeper level, helping translate their identity into a visual language throughout the site. That collaboration shaped a lot of the creative direction, especially around one of the site's standout features: a card gallery designed as a stacked deck, with each card layering on top of the last as you scroll.
The concept was inspired by the idea of Jakhaus as a "jack of all trades," a nod to the range and versatility the brand represents, brought to life through an interaction that feels layered and dynamic rather than static.
Development
On the development side, I collaborated with another developer who built out the house-listings functionality, while I focused on the front-facing experience, the pages and interactions visitors engage with first. The site is built with Next.js and styled with Tailwind CSS for a fast, responsive foundation, and includes a direct contact system powered by Resend JS, routing inquiries straight to the business email without relying on a third-party form service.
The Result
The result is a site that feels tailored to Jakhaus specifically: professional where it needs to be, and creative where it counts.
